Be Bold! Be You!

Be Bold! Be You!

Full Disclaimer: I hate being cold.

Any hint of spring or warmer weather gets me very excited. As I walked through the park a few days ago I spotted a small patch of beautiful purple flowers in bloom. Definitely a promising sign of better and brighter days ahead. The next day, I had a few errands to run, inspired by those flowers and feelings of spring – time, I decided to wear my blush pink coat from ASOS. The coat is cut in a blazer style and is the perfect accessory to transition from winter to spring. As for my outfit,  I opted for a grey, black and white turtle neck from Primark and my oldie goldie favourite ripped high waist jeans from Forever 21.

I must say that Primark has been giving me life recently with their cute winter – spring transition pieces, particularly their tops. Very cute and affordable! As I put on my comfy grey socks with the white lace trim (also from Primark), I started to reach for my usual everyday black boots. Next to them were my chunky black cut out heels that I had recently worn on a night out. Upon seeing those shoes, a voice popped in to my head, daring me to be bold with my fashion choices of the day and try something different. I decided to follow that voice and I must say I was very impressed with the outcome. The sandal/sock combo added an extra element of edge to the outfit and was actually very comfortable. Outfit complete, I grabbed my everyday grey tote and was out the door! My day was spent at classes and making arrangements for my upcoming Easter Trip. All in all, it was a good and super chic day out 🙂 .

Let me know in the comments below if you’re a fan of the sandal/sock trend. Until next time 🙂 . Stay Chic, S.
